General
Birthday: 16th July 2079
Age: 18 (Double Helix)
Gender: Female ♀
Origin: Earth (Double Helix Universe)
Occupation: Actress, Former Member of Nature's Path
Height: 157 cm / 5' 2''
Weight: 50 kg
Creator: Sky (And I had the opportunity to play her in her game~)
Abilities
• Due to her profession as an actress, Sophia can slip into different roles without appearing unbelievable. Therefore, she can deceive people pretty well and uses her abilities to manipulate others if she needs to.
• Furthermore, she can also sing and dance well, given that she started her shining career as an idol.
• Sophia may not look like it, but she's quite the pickpocket. Stealing or hiding items without others being aware of her actions is a talent of hers.
Personality
During the Nonary Games, Sophia had opted to act as the peace-loving girl who would never hurt a fly. Whenever there was a quarrel, she was the one to step in and calm everyone down, reminding everyone that they had to work together in order to escape. She came off as shy and friendly. It had gone well, but her true character shine more through during the ninth Nonary Game.
Sophia is, in fact, a self-confident girl who will speak her mind out if she deems it necessary. She's also rather sensitive and can blow up at people if they do something that doesn't sit well with her. Overall, Sophia is friendly and helps other people, but she is also wary of strangers she finds suspicious. If she deems someone as dangerous, she will keep her eyes on said person, working quietly against them. Due to her acting abilities, she can also manipulate and deceive people pretty well in her favor. Furthermore, though she does cares about other people, she isn't as pacifistic as she might appear. If there is a way to solve things peacefully, she will try these options first, before resorting to the more unpleasent ones. As much as she dislikes using violence, she would make use of it if she herself or someone whom she is fond of is in danger.
Background
From a young age, Sophia was in the acting business. She first started off at the age 14 as the lead idol in a famous idol group, and was later invited to act in a movie a year later. Sophia found that acting in movies was much more fun and rewarding than being an idol, so she quit the idol business and became a full-time actor. A few years later, she became involved with the organization Nature’s Path, an anti-human genetic modification group, when her brother was rejected as a candidate for her home country’s Olympic team in favour of a genetically modified human (there were no rules against this at the time), and her brother was diagnosed with clinical depression (which later led to a couple suicide attempts and later hospitalization).
While she was working in Nature’s Path, she learned of Twin Helix Organization and their large involvement in genetic modification. They had extensive research in that area and were in fact already developing humans with genes modified to increase their abilities. Nature’s Path often tried to interfere with Twin Helix, usually through legal means, though some members had resorted to more unscrupulous means. It was through one of these unscrupulous members that Sophia learned of Twin Helix’s plan to have a world of only genetically modified humans. They had developed a virus that would target all humans that didn’t have a specific enzyme in their body, which only modified humans developed by Twin Helix had. Sophia many other members of Nature’s Path tried to stop this plan from working, but it seemed that Twin Helix finally took notice of them, as members begin disappearing and then turning up dead weeks to months later. For her protection, a friend of hers managed to convince the leader to “kick” Sophia out of the organization and banned her from returning to their base of operations ever again. It was this decision that had saved her life, as a week later, the headquarters was mysteriously gassed and everyone inside died. She went into hiding, disappearing from stardom in 2096.
Despite her best efforts to evade Twin Helix, Sophia was quarantined on May of 2097 along with her brother. It seemed they were unaware of her membership in Nature’s Path, as she was not threatened or injured at all. During quarantine, she was placed in a cryo capsule, awoken several times to perform health checks and blood tests, and to do fitness exercises. Every time, she would try to escape, but they caught her every time and forced her through the procedures. She was never told what the date was when she was woken up, so she has no clue what date it is anymore. She also hasn’t seen her brother since the quarantine, so she worries about him.
One day, Sophia was let out of her cryo capsule, only to be told by Twin Helix that most of the world was covered in nuclear radiation and there wasn’t enough space for all of them to live on the small safe space left, so she had to participate in a series of Nonary Games.
After going through eight nonary games, she only had one left to be set free. In the beginning of the ninth round, a lawyer called Lance told her that her brother suicided in one of the former rounds, causing her to fall into depression - not that she had much time to mourn, because they still had to get out of the facility. During the course of the ninth game, Sophia found out that most participants were in fact clones, including herself, which caused yet another mental breakdown for the former star actress. It was thanks to Ella and Florence that she didn't threw her life away and instead, found a new family within the two of them
In one timeline, she got killed by Lauren shortly before leaving the facility. In another one, she comitted suicide once finding out that Richard was the mastermind and Florence was taking his side, leaving her devasted by all the crashing bad news. There was also one timeline where she abandoned everyone, killed the original Sophia and lived with the original Jeremy, her brother.
In the true ending, she survived like all participants and agreed to keep silent about the clones, knowing that it would cause an uproar if people would find out. She lives with her new family, but unbeknownst to them, she still secretly acts against Twin Helix.
Relationships
• Jeremy Lin: Her older brother whom she was very fond of. After being rejected to take part in the olympic games, he was diagnosed with clinical depression and attempted to suicide a few times. The clone finally comitted it in the process of one of the Nonary Games, while the original is still asleep in one of the many capsules. As a remainder of her late brother, she wears the bracelet they had once made together on her wrist.
• Ella Silverstein: Sophia met her adoptive mother in the ninth Nonary Game and it's thanks to her that Sophia hadn't done anything stupid while being depressed by all the events that were going on. Even though she works for Twin Helix, Sophia knows that she didn't knew what the company had truly done, so she can't hold it against her. The young girl loves her new mum dearly.
• Florence Hope Justice: Her stepbrother, who also got adopted by Ella in the course of the ninth Nonary Game. He is a cheerful boy and helped Sophia through her depression. Although she likes him dearly, she is sometimes taken aback by his strange behaviour. Aside this, she learned from him that she can't never loose hope, so she tries her best to live by that.
• Camille Justice: Florence's real sister and thus Sophia's stepsister. They got to know each other after winning the last Nonary Game.
• Thalia Silverstein: Ella's biological daughter and another stepsister of Sophia's. Like in Camille's case, they met each other after completing the Nonary Games.
• Richard Grimaldi: There was a time where she had liked him, but as soon as she got to confirm that he was in fact responsible for the Nonary Games and also being the heir of the Grimaldi family, she grew to dislike him. Whenever they meet, she avoids him as much as she can.
• Lauren Kaminski: One of the participants in the ninth Nonary Game. Sophia doesn't like her all too much, given her personality and the things she had done to Ella.
• Lance Collingwood: Lance was also one of the nine people she had met during her last Nonary Game. He was the one who told her about Jeremy's demise, which he had tried to prevent, but failed. Overall, she finds him likeable and doesn't really understand why Florence detest the lawyer so much.
• Freya Andersen: Although they were both in the same Nonary Game, they hadn't really interacted that much with each other. Therefore, Sophia's opinion on her is rather neutral.
• Minerva: An assasin she met in her Binary Game. The two of them collaborated to achieve as many informations about the Grimaldi as possible. After escaping the facility, she learns that the woman died during one of the Nonary Games.
• Abel Winslow: A friendly young man, whom she had also met in her last Nonary Game. Sophia is rather fond of him and is also flattered that he is a fan of her movies.
• Jayden: Sophia met Jayden in her Quaternary Game, who was very supportive of her. Later on, she finds out that he had also escaped the facility.
• Wesley Ahlström: Another participant of the ninth Nonary Game she was in. Although Sophia had at first a hard time to talk to Wesley - like everyone else, to be honest -, but ultimately managed to gain his trust. She finds him really likeable and likes to tease him.
Miscellaneous
• Sophia loves Asian fashion, as evidenced by the way she dresses.
• She’s actually pretty clumsy and has a habit of tripping over the most ridiculous things. That clumsiness was deleted when she was genetically modified.
